As a Hybrid Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering modern workplace, cloud, and On-Premises solutions. We are looking for an all rounder who is equally comfortable working with Microsoft Cloud/On-Premises environments as they are securing them.

You will contribute across projects, support our pre-sales efforts, and provide technical expertise to customers, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys a diverse and hands-on role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Implementation: Participate in infrastructure projects, and the deployment of modern workplace technologies.
  • Pre-Sales & Discovery: Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders during pre-sales activities to understand business requirements, assist with technical discovery, and help design effective solutions.
  • Operations & Support: Assist with day-to-day managed services operations, providing high-tier technical support and acting as an escalation point for infrastructure issues.
  • Continuous Optimisation: Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational processes, enhance security postures, and optimise client environments.

Required Skills

  • Microsoft 365 Administration: Deep expertise in administering and optimising M365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Endpoint Management: Proven experience with Microsoft Intune for modern device management, application deployment, compliance/configuration policies, and Windows Autopilot provisioning.
  • Azure & Hybrid Cloud: Experience managing Microsoft Azure environments and deploying seamless hybrid integrations.
  • Identity & Access Management (IAM): Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and traditional Active Directory, including hybrid identity synchronisation, Conditional Access policies, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
  • Security & Compliance: Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Defender suite (Defender for Endpoint, Identity, or Office 365) to maintain a strong security posture.
  • On-Premises & Virtualisation: Solid understanding of traditional on-premises infrastructure, including Windows Server administration, Group Policy (GPOs), and virtualisation (Hyper-V / VMware).
  • Networking Fundamentals: Grasp of core networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP, routing, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Scripting & Automation: Proficiency with PowerShell for environment auditing, bulk administrative tasks, and automation.
  • Client-Facing & Pre-Sales Capability: Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, assist with pre-sales discovery, and author technical documentation.
  • Multi-Cloud Exposure: Familiarity with AWS is advantageous.
  • Legacy Endpoint Management: Experience with Microsoft SCCM / MECM (ConfigManager) is advantageous.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Matric (Senior Certificate).
  • Microsoft certifications relating to Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, or Security.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Microsoft cloud, endpoint management, and infrastructure support roles.
